This is the most elaborately decorated house I've come across this Christmas, complete with a moving Santa in the window. It's the Paul Toole Holiday Light Show in Wells, Somerset.
Photo by Caroline Lévesque, as my snaps turned out a bit too shaky to do it justice.

Wow. I don't understand people who does this sort of thing, but they sure are devoted!
It is exquisite (picture very clear!), but cannot believe that people go to that extent with xmas decor?! Oh well at least the rest of us who enjoy this kinda thing, get to enjoy!!! have a great new year!! Gena
wow! so cool!
They must be sorry that Christmas comes once in a year! I feel ashamed that I didn't get at least a minor Christmas tree...
@ Steffe: I guess each one of us have their own hobbies - would you believe some go round taking photos of strangers? Heh ;-)
@ Gena: Yeah, Caroline's photos came out really sharp. And she didn't even use a tripod.
I think it's nice that some people go all out at Christmas. If everyone decorated as much as I do, you wouldn't see so much as a Christmas tree, ever.
@ Palmtreefanatic: Isn't it? I loved it.
@ Vogon Poet: That makes two of us ;-)
This is fun! I'm glad your friend had a steady hand. I never decorate because I'm too lazy, so I can barely imagine how much work that is. I'm glad some people bother to amuse us!
I know! The family who put this panorama together are also collecting for charity (they have a box for donations on their drive) so they're not just spreading the Xmas spirit :-)
I've never seen any house with so much decoration. Even polar bears are there! :-)
Happy New Year, Tinsie!
And penguins too ;-)
It is amazing what people will go through to put up something like this, not even considering the cost involved. Very pretty, though.
Thanks much for your kind words and we wish you the very best for 2010!
nice. the objectives are really adorable.
