Sunny and packed

What a difference four days can make! The weather today finally took a turn for the better, and Londoners were quick to claim a place in the sun.

I took this photo at the Riverside Terrace Cafe outside the Royal Festival Hall on the South Bank. According to the Met Office, the hot spell won't last, but we can enjoy it while it's here.

So, what do you reckon - how much for a cup of tea at one of these tables?

Make that two cups, it's been a warm day.

Few months, and I already miss London. I'm glad for the good weather, I hope will last a bit more of what the say!

@ Deepak: 18°C here at the moment, and gray skies :-(

@ Per: Tea on a hot day?!

@ VP: It's not been bad so far this summer, but it's not warm today. We'll see how it goes...

@ Per: If you mean the jug and glasses on the table in the middle of the photo, that's not tea, it's Pimm's.

Ice tea is virtually unheard of in the UK.

As far as I'm concerned, ice tea may well remain unheard of!

Yes, why not? Tea is refreshing under most circumstances but I admit I would have my cup let off some steam first on such a day.

LOL! I love ice tea. On a really hot day, it's either ice tea for me, or ice coffee. I admit ice coffee usually wins :-)
