Travel for 55 minutes on public transport (metro & bus) from the centre of Athens, and this is where you arrive.
The water's still a bit cold, but very refreshing on a hot day.

Been there long time ago, I didn't know Athens had so nice a beach. Only sea I saw was at Piraeus... Big mistake, I think.
This is only one of several beaches dotted along the coastline to the east of the city. There are some beautiful marinas in Piraeus, but if you only saw the sea at the main port, you can't have been too impressed ;-)
