Santa and the souvenirs
Another souvenir shop shot, this time coming from Cyprus. Amongst the usual bibelots, jewellery and kitchen notepads, sits a lonely Santa clutching a Christmas tree with one hand and ringing a bell with the other. Ho ho ho.
I took this photo earlier this month in a souvenir shop in Pafos, Cyprus. This was the only Santa in the shop.

Can't believe Santa is already making his presence known! Seems like Christmas was yesterday!
Cute shot, though!
A bit different here, I have never been in Cyprus, so I'll probably I'll pay a visit to one or more souvenir shops.
Is he out of place or is this the first Christmas decoration of the year? :-)
Regarding your question: Most of the women in Bolivia still wear traditional outfits which are great, but those ladies were dressed to party! :-)
I think that Santa was there as a joke. We saw no other evidence of Xmas anywhere else in Cyprus, and that was the only Santa in the shop. I don't think he was on sale either.
@ Jacob: Christmas preparations have already started in England - the first Xmas decorations and cards went on sale last month...
Hi again...re your question about the alligator...oh, yes, this one was very much "real." The photo was taken at the Silver Springs Park...unfortunately a worker was attacked and bitten severely by an alligator a few weeks ago while testing the water in the Silver River at this park. The last word I received is that he would live.
Horrible is a good word here!
