Early autumn sunshine

These two girls were enjoying a chat on a Greek beach earlier today. It may be autumn, and the sun's not as strong as it was even a month ago, but the weather's still pleasant and it's possible to sit out in your bikini and work on that tan.

The place look more interesting with most of the tourists gone. I like pebbled beaches...

Raining in London brings memories of Greece, i guess :).

@ Vogon Poet: Yes, pebble is good - less messy that sand for a start!

@ Richard: Generally very true, although I'm in Greece at the moment, so you could say I'm livin' the dream :-)

We have had a wonderful weather until today!... now it's all gray, how depressing! :-)

Are you in London by any chance? ;-)

Off topic: Bucharest is one of the most crowded and polluted cities of Europe. There is no place for beauty. That was the reason. I understood that Athens is very crowded also.

Most places are more interesting when the tourists are gone. Scania in October. Venice in November.

I see something interestingly abstract in this photo. Just remove the girls (sorry, temporarily of course!) and the boat... See what I mean?

@ Richard: It's pretty crowded, and parts of it are quite ugly, but the old town is beautiful and the city centre was spruced up for the Olympics. Also there are a ton of ancient monuments and the seaside is nearby, so despite the crowdedness it's not that bad. Have a look at the label for Athens, I have posted a few photos since I started the blog, which might give you a better idea.

I've never been to Bucharest. Surely it can't be as bad as you say?

@ Per: I do see!! There's something linear going on with the bands of colour.

Is this what you meant?

Lovely! Winter has arrived here in southern Italy suddenly...no more sunbathing for this year.

Yeah, the temperature's slowly dropping in Greece too. I guess summer can only last so long...

Yep, I was referring to those bands.
