These are some photos I took earlier in the week, when I attended my friend Pamela's graduation ceremony at the Old Royal Naval College Chapel in Greenwich. I was totally mesmerised by the elaborate ceiling, which was designed by James "Athenian" Stuart and William Newton after the original flat-panelled ceiling was destroyed in a 1779 fire.
This is a view of the Chapel from the main entrance. You can read more about the Chapel here.

Congratulations to your friend, this ceremony gives us the opportunity to see this wonderful chapel. I've been in Greenwich several times but didn't know anything about it. Many great photos of great quality.
Indeed a very beautiful ceiling ! I never visited any church in Greenwich. I visted Jientje in Antwerp, it's only 60 km from Brussels, next time she comes here. Both cities are worthwhile to visit. If ever you have the intention, to swim over let us know !
Fabulous designs on the ceiling. Very colorfull and refreshing.
@ Vogon Poet: May be something to see on your next visit to London ;-)
@ Gattina: I sure will!
@ Rajesh: I loved the pastel colours too :-)

Fantastic shots! The ceiling is just awesome and you've capture some great details. Nice job!
